Oz Circumnavigation: The Perth Stay in Retrospect

Sitting in Ceduna for the last 24 hours we both felt that we were well overdue to start the Blog again, since we have travelled over 2,000 Km's already on the new venture.
For those not in the know, we will start at the beginning.
The new venture is the leave Perth for another 12 months and visit Australia's north via Cooper Pedy in South Australia and to date we have been on the road for nearly 2 weeks and raced (by our standards) to Ceduna. A town with very little but fishing to recommend it to the traveller.
But we digress, the Perth Stay is the title.
We returned for the birth of Lily, Mark and Jo's daughter, who was due to arrive in October and duly made an appearance on the appropriate date.

As can be seen the new arrival fits in like a treat.

A visitor to the Van, tried the bed!!

So that was the reason for our return, our leaving was a little protracted due to our having the Van serviced prior to our trip, a standard 30,000km service .

Well some 20km from home the Van broke down and was carted to the service organisation who found that a $2 "O" ring had been omitted from the oil changed, resulting in a $13,000 repair.

"Whoops"

Unfortunately the repair itself had some issues resulting in us being delayed nearly 3 weeks.

So we are on our way
